Out of hours veterinary service

Part of providing our clients with professional and compassionate care is making sure we have you covered when the clinic is closed.  We are NOT an emergency centre however we have a vet on an on-call basis when the clinic is closed.

This service is provided to existing clients of Eureka and Ballarat Vet Practice.  This service is not for general enquires.  For general enquires, please contact the clinic during normal business hours.

The after-hour service we offer to clients rotates is through the Eureka Veterinary Clinic, Ballarat Veterinary Clinic and Ballarat Pet and Farm Veterinary Clinic on weekdays.  On weekends, it rotates through the Eureka Veterinary Clinic and the Ballarat Veterinary clinic.  Please make sure you ask which clinic is on call that night so there are no confusions on where to go.

Upon arrival, your pet will be assessed by one of our veterinarians.  We will aim to provide an estimate of the costs involved with your case, however, please be aware that with emergency procedures costs can vary depending on what services and treatments are required.

Our veterinarians will keep you updated regularly during the course of your pet’s stay in hospital. In some cases, the problem is so serious, we may need to refer to a veterinary specialist centre or 24-hour emergency facility as we do not have staff in the clinic 24 hours.

Please contact us to discuss our after-hours arrangement, it’s always nice to know this information before you actually need it.
