​Small animal veterinary position available

The Eureka Veterinary Clinic has a new position available for a small animal veterinarian. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in a high quality supportive practice, to expand their skills with an exciting range of surgical, medical and dental cases that occur in a regional centre.  New graduates are encouraged to apply as they provide a wealth of cutting edge ideas of which we love to embrace.   


As a regional clinic, our practices are equipped with everything you will need to take on the more challenging medical and surgical cases and to provide the excellent level of care you have been trained to do. This includes: 

  • Direct digital radiology 

  • Mylab 5 ultrasound 

  • IDEXX Lab system for comprehensive blood testing including coagulation  

  • Excellent medical and surgical equipment including orthopaedic equipment (Synthes plating and TPLO implants, external fixation – linear and ring fixation) 

  • IM3 Dental machine and dental CR radiology 

  • Radioactive iodine treatment for cats 

  • Endoscopy 

  • and more.

  • We actively mentor each other and have a collective approach to difficult cases through clinical rounds, journal club and mentoring. 

  • Our clinic is part of the Ballarat Veterinary Practice and through this, we employ more than 20 small animal veterinarians across our clinics and we offerr plenty of support including a early assistance program (EAP). 

  • The roster is based on a 38-hour week, working 4.5 days per week, a generous salary, CPD allowance plus AVA membership and CVE membership   

  • Continuing education is encouraged.
