Microchipping

Your pet's greatest chance of being returned home!

A microchip is a simple and unique form of permanent identification for your pet. Just about the size of a grain of rice, the microchip is linked to your contact details on a national register, greatly increasing the chances of bringing your pet safely home to you.It takes only a few minutes for one of our veterinarians to inject the microchip under your pet’s skin - similar to a vaccination. Our nurses will then help you to complete the registration form with all your contact details, this will be lodged with the national registry. Within two weeks, you will receive a registration certificate, which confirms all your contact details and also gives you a pin number, should you ever need to change any of your details.

Microchips are used in a wide variety of animals from wild animals to reptiles, fish, horses, emus, dogs and cats and even birds. Tests have shown microchips to be very safe for old and young animals all over the world.

Eureka Veterinary Group use Trovan microchips, which are ISO qualified to meet stringent Australian standards. We recommend that every pet owner take this precaution to avoid the heartache and expense of trying to find a missing pet.
